Our unique workshop focuses on capturing the beauty of both the night sky and the surrounding landscape while teaching you the techniques to do so.
This is much more than just a photo tour; our immersive experience combines classroom-style instruction with hands-on fieldwork, providing you with exceptional knowledge and enhanced skills. With a limit of only 8 students, we ensure that each participant receives personalized attention for a fantastic learning experience. Get ready to create out-of-this-world images that you'll cherish forever!
Big Bend Station Inn & RV Park
I'm also excited to share that the tuition for the workshop includes lodging at the charming Big Bend Station in Terlingua. This cozy base will provide us with a comfortable and convenient place to unwind after a day of exploration and photography. You'll be able to enjoy the stunning desert vistas and share stories with fellow participants, all while surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the region. It’s the perfect setting to immerse yourself in both nature and creativity!
Exciting Note About Terlingua, TX
Get ready for an adventure! We’re staying in the quirky, vibrant town of Terlingua, Texas, nestled right at the western entrance of Big Bend National Park. If you’ve never experienced Terlingua before, you're in for a real treat! This little one-of-a-kind town has grown a little, but it still holds onto its rugged border-town vibe. There’s not much here, just a single gas station, a handful of restaurants, a grocery store, and a few unique lodging options—but that’s all part of its charm. And while cell service can be hit-or-miss, it's definitely improving and we do have starlink for wifi calling if needed.
Don’t let the idea of it being a border town throw you off. We have been visiting Big Bend for 8 years now and I’ve never had any issues. The locals are some of the friendliest, most welcoming people you’ll meet, and other travelers are just as great. It’s all part of the Terlingua experience!
Can I Bring a Non-Photographer Spouse/Guest?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring a guest with you. We just ask that non-photographer guest not attend the editing sessions. However, they are more than welcome to join us out in the field to take in the stunning landscapes and night skies.
